It is early April and worldwide 1 million people are now infected with the Corona virus.
Many countries are in some sort of lock-down and much of our life now takes place in the house.

The two 50 years old roof lights in this house symbolize the light in the darkness for me. Pollution and damage from recent years have left their mark. Yet the light that comes in is still beautiful and changes by the hour. The air is getting cleaner and the environment is recovering a bit.
Corona makes us think and the Rooflight series is a kind of meditative moment.

DAKLICHT
Het is begin april en wereldwijd zijn er inmiddels 1 miljoen mensen besmet met het Corona virus.
Veel landen zitten in een soort van lock-down en een groot deel van ons leven speelt zich nu in huis af. De twee 50 jaar oude daklichten in dit huis symboliseren voor mij het licht in de duisternis. Vervuiling en aantasting door de afgelopen jaren laten hun sporen na. Toch is het licht dat binnenkomt nog altijd mooi en veranderd met het uur.
De lucht wordt schoner en het milieu is een beetje aan het herstellen. Corona zet ons aan het denken en de Daklicht-serie vormt een soort van meditatief moment.
